| This is perhaps a son of John Robert Temple and his wife and first cousin Sarah Frances Virginia Temple. Other children were born about 2 years before and after the birth of this child, CWS f BCV, pp. 549-550. |

According to Civil War Soldiers from Brunswick County, Virginia, Pvt. Wiley Henry Crowder is buried “in a family cemetery on the old place off Highway 662 (Tillman Rd.) where is son John Crowder lived,” which may be identical to this cemetery. His wife, Sarah Virginia Thrower, is in Canaan Methodist Church Cemetery, CWS f BCV, p. 136. |
