On the east side of S.R.715, 500 feet on the north side of the brick home constructed by William S. Peebles III overlooking approx. a 50 ft bluff.
To the north, the Meherrin River, nice marble and granite memorials but the large unfenced cemetery does not appear to have had any recent care.
Recorded by J.R. Orgain Jr. of Alberta, Virginia, 5-17-86.
According to Southside Virginia Genealogies, “Meherrin Mills adjoined the Dunlop property, later known as the McRea farm. Just across the road leading to Meherrin Mills is a large cemetery on a high hill overlooking the Meherrin River.” p. 186.
