On Sunday, February 3, 2008, members of The Old Brunswick Camp # 512 - SCV cleared and restored this severly overgrown cemetery and installed government headstones for three CSA veterans: Rebecca Ann Wyche's husband, Pvt. Jesse Albert Taylor, and her brothers Pvt. James Watkins Wyche and Pvt. William Peter Wyche.
Although Rebecca and Jesse are buried here, her brothers were killed at the Battle of Manassas and are likely buried on the battlefield.
Present were Mrs. Nora Short of Richmond, VA, and Mrs. Barbara Yeatts of Emporia, VA, great-grandaughters of Pvt. Jesse Albert Taylor. They provided the information on all the other family members who are buried here, which had been passed down through several generations of their family.
