The land for Pelhams was given by Peter Pelham, an early leader of the Methodist Church, in 1804. This church and cemetery are located on the north side of Belfield Rd. (Route 606), approx. 0.25 mi. east of Lewis Dr. (Route 604) and approx. 1 mi. southwest of Gov. Harrison Pkwy (US Route 58). It is approx. 0.5 mi. west of the Brunswick-Greensville County line. A portion of the cemetery is in the rear, and along the west side of the church, and another is in front of the church, directly across Belfield Rd. and only a few feet from the roadway. At least five graves are marked with fieldstones only.
