The Vietnam War, 1965-75, cost the lives of some 60,000 Americans, of whom the following were from Brunswick County: William Bell Jr. and Milton Blackwell of Alberta, Arthur Louis Johnson of Brodnax, Charles King Butler, and Mack Donald Stainback Jr. of Dolphin.
